Waterskiing at Ellingham Lake Ringwood Hampshire – convenient for Poole Bournemouth Southampton and skiers from Dorset and along the South Coast of England

So you want to waterski? Whether you are a beginner or very experienced, if you live in or are visiting the Wessex area then Ellingham is the place to waterski. You’ll all know that to waterski well you’ve got to have flat water so what better place than a sheltered lake which only runs one boat at a time. If you are just learning then you’ll need the correct environment to progress as fast as possible. Anywhere there’s chop, swell or other boat wakes is not going to help you get to the standard you are capable of. Waterskiing on the sea or in the harbour in less tha ideal conditions will give you bad habits that become difficult to break. You’ll also need the best facilities. We have a brand new Ski Nautique boat (Note: this boat is protected by a GPS Worldwide Marine Tracking device so we know exactly where it is at all times)which delivers one of the flatest wakes around and is highly sought after in the waterski world. We will start you off with some dry land instruction before starting on the training boom. We’ll then put you on the short line before progressing to the long line. We have British Waterksi instructors to teach you (included in the cost of a tow) and some of the best skiers in the area to give you excellent tips and advice. You’ll soon be itching to start tackling the slalom course – that’s when the fun, and addiction, starts.

If you are more experienced, you’ll know the importance of the above and will be looking for the advantages of a well-run water ski club. Our Ski Nautique 200 boat runs the Zero Off system so your speed will be spot-on every time. We have the only full 6 buoy slalom course in the area and can shorten the line to whatever you need. So if you are serious about your waterskiing we are the only place to come unless you wish to travel another 70 miles.

If you live in Poole or Bournemouth then you just need to travel up the spur road to Ringwood, take the Salisbury Road (A338) and you’ll be here in 20 minutes.

If you live near to Southampton then again a quick 20 minute journey along the A27 will soon have you skiing on the lake in the best conditions possible.

Remember skiers travel here from all over Hampshire, Dorset, West Sussex Somerset and Wiltshire, so if they are willing to make the journey then surely it’s worth it for you.

See you soon…….
